People are creatures of habit. It makes sense: by doing things automatically we don’t have to stop and think every time we do them. That makes life a lot easier. One of the disadvantages is that it takes more trouble and energy to learn new things. Our routines are hiding a wealth of potential. These are the undiscovered talents that remain unused because nothing has forced us to turn to them. It usually takes a change in our lives, or an exchange with other people to access this hidden potential. Sometimes it’s the input of a coach, a sculptor at heart who chips away at the layers until a valuable image appears.
